Iris Jewellers is a small, independent, family-run jewellery shop specialising in tanzanite and fine jewellery. Everything we make is handcrafted locally. Nothing here is mass produced or imported off a shelf.

Tanzanite is found in a single deposit near Kilimanjaro, Tanzania – and nowhere else. It is one of the rarest gemstones on the planet, and the supply is finite. We have specialised in tanzanite for over 40 years. Come in and we’ll show you why it’s worth finding.
40 years of craft
Iris Jewellers was founded in 1984 by master goldsmith Wim Kimmans.
Today it is a father and son business – every gold piece made by hand in our workshop at the harbour. The shop is named after two women in our family. That kind of detail tends to say something about a place.
